The Village Homestay is located in a quaint little village called Ponnamvely. It's situated midway between the great backwaters of Alleppey and the heritage town of Kochi. It is run by Latha and Dilip Vishwanathan.

Latha is a medical social worker who is presently working as an Administrative Head with AURED, a NGO dealing with children with hearing disability.

Owner, Property Manager & Tour Guide
Dilip retired as the Additional Chief Mechanical Engineer of Mumbai Port Trust. He also headed the Port's Heritage Committee and is credited with the restoration of some of the Port's Heritage structures and of establishing Mumbai Port's Maritime Mechanical Museum. The house belonged to his late grandfather.
After retirement, to continue with the legacy of Dilip's grandfather, they decided to restore and modernize this house and make it into a comfortable homestay.

‘’ Chosing to stay here has been the best decision I made on my recent trip to Kerala. The location is perfect for people who wish to visit Kochi or Aleppy as its not very far from either points. This place offers the calmness of a village surrounding and amenities of a modern living. Both hosts, Dilip and Latha, were absolutely wonderful in making my family and myself feel welcomed and comfortable. The farmhouse is very spacious and tastefully done blending typical Kerala framework of architecture with contemporary colors and interiors. We had a wonderful time knowing about fish farming which you can see right at the property, walking through the organic vegetable garden, playing with their friendly dog Danny, relishing the amazing home cooked food and waking up to the beautiful sounds of birds chirping.
